Abbey Green Farm in The Sunday Times.
Some moments stay with you forever. For us, one of those moments came in 2019, when Abbey Green Farm was featured in The Sunday Times Travel supplement as one of the Top 20 places to camp in the UK.
It was an enormous honour, and one we still feel deeply proud of.
The feature described Abbey Green Farm as a countryside campsite offering immaculate facilities, homemade afternoon tea, and pizza served in a relaxed rural setting. To see something we had worked so hard to build recognised in a national newspaper felt quietly extraordinary.
At the time, our campsite was already rooted in the values we still hold today: care, quality and attention to detail. Whether it was freshly baked cake, well-kept shower rooms, or the calm of the surrounding fields, everything was done with our guests in mind.
Although much has evolved since 2019, from our newly built Bed & Breakfast, hardstanding pitches to thoughtfully designed spaces, the heart of Abbey Green Farm remains the same. We continue to offer a peaceful countryside setting, carefully maintained facilities and a warm, personal welcome.
Being listed among the top places to camp in the UK was never about accolades alone. It was reassurance that our approach, doing things with care and integrity, truly mattered.
We remain grateful for every guest who has stayed with us, returned to us, or recommended Abbey Green Farm to others.
That recognition was a moment in time, but the pride we feel in what we offer today is very much alive.
