One of the things that makes a stay at Abbey Green Farm Campsite in Shropshire truly special is our homemade food. Every cake, sauce, pizza base, and dessert and ice cream is made fresh here in our kitchen, nothing mass-produced. We believe camping doesn’t have to mean compromising on flavour or quality, which is why we prepare everything by hand.

Because everything is homemade from scratch, we kindly ask for 24 hours’ notice when ordering meals (apart from our ice creams, which are always available). This allows us to give your food the care and attention it deserves.

Afternoon Tea at Your Pitch – A UK First

Where else can you camp and enjoy a full afternoon tea delivered directly to your pitch? To our knowledge, Abbey Green Farm is the only campsite in the UK offering this unique experience. Imagine relaxing by your tent or campervan in the Shropshire countryside while enjoying delicate sandwiches, homemade cakes, scones with jam and cream, all beautifully presented.

Our afternoon tea is available every Saturday between 2pm and 5pm, and it’s prepared by Rose, who holds a patisserie qualification. Her expertise ensures every detail is refined — from the crisp pastry to the light sponge.

Cream Teas in the Countryside

If you prefer something simpler but equally indulgent, we also serve traditional cream teas. Freshly baked scones, clotted cream, and jam, the perfect treat during your stay. Cream teas are also available on Saturdays, 2–5pm.

Homemade farmhouse Pizzas

Pizza nights are always a highlight at Abbey Green Farm. Available seven days a week from 6–7pm, our homemade pizzas are prepared with hand-stretched dough and our own tomato base. Toppings are seasonal and locally sourced wherever possible, and everything is cooked fresh to order. It’s the ideal way to end a day of exploring Shropshire.

Artisan Ice Cream – No Pre-Order Needed

For something sweet at any time, try our homemade ice creams. Made in small batches here on the farm, they’re creamy, indulgent, and available daily without pre-order. Perfect for cooling down on a summer’s afternoon or rounding off your meal.
